I planned and supervised a stock-taking survey on health and social protection in Kenya. This survey aimed to summarise the situation in the health sector, in terms of service demand/supply, connection between policy and implementation and finance. It also attempted to map existing schemes to increase accessibility for the poor to health system such as health insurance, voucher scheme and cash transfers. It was almost the first attempt for JICA to oversee health system and social protection at the same time. I visited several health service providers in Nyanza Province.
